Now that the weather is calmer and wind not too strong it’s a comfortable ride. Were still managing to do 8-9 knts a lot of the time or down to 5-6 if the wind is less.
Waiting for the wind to drop a little to hoist a parasail which is almost the same as a spinnaker – or so I thought. I discovered later that this particular sail should be flown with the main down which we didn’t do. So we ended up flying it like a gennaker. Once set properly we had this sail up until about 2am when we lost the wind completely and started motoring . Photos of the foredeck crew!
All set up. Woohoo.
Should be fun.
Interesting sail with the bottom half and top quarter like a spinnaker and the third quarter has a gap in the sail and a kite.
